All About Camp

The Wooster Girls Soccer Camp was established in 1993 as one of the first residential soccer camps offered exclusively to girls in Ohio.    This camp has developed into one of the finest camps in the Midwest, yet has attracted campers from as far away as California, Florida, Virginia, and even Alaska.  The reputation of quality instruction, individual attention, excellent facilities, and supervision has made the Wooster Girls Soccer Camp so popular with campers and their parents.  Camp in 2025 was a sell out.  The 2026 camp session will be held at Walsh University in N. Canton, Ohio.

    OUTSTANDING FACILITIES:

All field sessions at Walsh University are on new all-season synthetic turf field.  Regular outdoor soccer cleats are perfect for this spongy surface.

Dorms:

Campers live in one of the college’s dormitories.  Dorms are close to soccer fields & dining hall.  Campers are asked to pick one roommate as almost all rooms are doubles.  At Walsh, there are a few quad rooms (by request only).  Dorms at Walsh also have A/C and refrigerators in the rooms.

Dining:

All-you-can-eat meals are served in the college dining hall. Food choices include hot breakfast entrees, cereals, breads, fresh fruit, deli meats, prepared entrees, salad bar, pasta, pizza, & a variety of desserts.  Please contact Kim at the camp if you have special diets & food allergies

MEDICAL INFORMATION:

In case of an emergency, Urgent Care and the Emergency Room are within 10 minutes from campus.  While the camp staff will assist with the treatment of all injuries incurred at camp, each camper needs to be covered by their own medical insurance.  If a camper is injured at camp and has to go home, there is no refund.

Campers can keep their medication in their room.  They MUST be able to take medication on their own, including self-administering an Epipen.  If needed, a staff member can be present to simply watch.

We take concussions seriously.  If a camper is suspected of a concussion from our staff by exhibiting concussion-like symptoms, she will not be allowed to further participate in soccer activities for the remainder of the camp session and maybe asked to leave camp to get evaluated by her family physician.

If a camper exhibits COVID-19 symptoms at camp, she will be required to leave camp immediately.

Every camper will need to submit a medical form at check-in the first day of camp.

SAFETY & SUPERVISION:

All soccer camp activities are held directly on campus. The college maintains a full Security Department, who, in addition to our own camp staff, provide on-campus security. All residence halls and dorm rooms operate on specific card swipe entry system. All camp staff have daily supervisory responsibilities. Every effort is made to provide a safe and supervised camp environment. However, campers must follow Camp Rules at all times to ensure their safety.

Location:

Wooster Soccer Camp has operated at both the The College of Wooster in Wooster, OH and Walsh University in North Canton, OH.  The 2026 session will be at Walsh University.

CAMP STRUCTURE:

Campers are assigned to a team, which they will play for during our evening 11v11 games and train together during the day.  Each team will be assigned a coach to work with.  During the training sessions, many times our coaches combine with other teams and work together.  This gives campers an opportunity to work with other coaches and meet different campers.

We do not separate campers based on ability.  While this may provide a camper with a more challenging soccer experience, we have found that our campers prefer to stay in teams with their friends.  This is where our experienced staff will step in and challenge those players who exhibit abilities greater than others.

If your daughter has friends/teammates attending camp, please identify them and let the camp know so every concession can be made to place friends together.
